Exterior plastic panel applications for off road vehicles have traditionally been specified from ABS type materials, Polyolefin or Polycarbonate sheet stock.

Working with the Primex Corporation Bridgewood now offer a TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) solution. This is an engineered alloy that offers the following combination of properties:

  • Very high stiffness
  • A very low Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion
  • Excellent cold temperature impact
  • UV protection
  • Improved rigidity (compared with normal polyolefins)
  • High chemical resistant
  • High levels of Gloss finish

This modified Olefin provides an exceptional tough and durable product with the added feature of very low thermal expansion compared with other thermoplastics.

This allows this material to be an ideal replacement for fibreglass parts. This material has been designed to be used widely in automotive applications such as off-road vehicles, caravan and motorhome exteriors, tractors, lawnmowers and general exterior panel applications.

The combination of toughness, rigidity, improved scratch resistance, impact strength and high chemical resistance make this an ideal material for external panel applications with real world tough conditions.
